I found this specimen out side of my sulfur mine. Natives named because it is said to roll with the punches. The natives call it Ar-ma-dil-o

Rather appropriate so i decided to render it as best I could.

It is said to be an excellent digger with keen eyesight. A wiley prey. Some say it is reminesent of chicken. I drew this at a distance as not to encite it to charge.

What interesting beasts they have here in the New World. I wonder if some of the exotics from Africa are here somewhere?

I can attest from first hand experience that they taste like chicken.

It is obvious that we need to find Bognor a better provisioner.

Well, you won't know if it is a tastey beast until you try it.

Ach, mates, if it swims, slithers, crawls, flies, grows in the ground or from a tree I've probably eaten it. I've eaten things you would not step on. My rule of thumb: "If it's not moving, eat it; if it is moving, stab it with the chopsticks until it stops, then eat it."

((If I get a chance today I'll post another pic of me eating something weird on the "faces" thread in Off Topic. My staff think it is funny to take photos of me eating and drinking when we travel. Though no one got one of me when we were in Bankok in January.))

I actually have to ammend something their eyesight is not that great. At one of my test ranges. I saw one that was very enamored with a 7 lb round shot. So in all truth either they are blind or love is.

It was not pleased how ever when we tested the cannon with his intended.

I was out trying to procure flamingo featherís. They are pink and I think they would amuse Cathern some. I came upon a small tidal wet land area, where the birds frequent. There was a large feline carcass near by. I took measurements and examined the cat concluding it to be a female puma. It had been in a fight with what appears to be another large cat. I was about to continue along when I heard a small sneeze. After some searching I found what appeared to be a puma kitten with white camouflage markings. A melanistic albino with normal nose and paw pad coloration. With the choice of leaving it to fend for itsself, or taking it home. I chose taking it home as there was no way it could survive on its own. A small grrrr erupted from my pocket. And then it settled into a purr.
