Hey All,
just wondering if we could make a second character to only deal in naval activities for our guild. Not saying to make a primary character but a secondary character which will be for playing in off times. Thinking it might be fun to have a good little fleet of real fire power vessels for the days we get pestered to death with heros LOL If we were doing merchant missions or quests and kept getting targeted by some people, maybe wee could come back with an armada and kick their behinds. Just a thought,

We do allow alts. However, it's doubtful that a Navy ship will do much in an escort fight. They are slow and kludgy from what we've been told, so they themselves would need an escort of smaller ships. Basically Privs are likely the best escorts. Navy ships (at least the big ones) are good for port battles. Though with smaller cutters I think the Navy could escort. We'll have to see.

Also, if its an alt, its probably not going to be as high leve/ well equiped as the merchant or privateer primary, so they should still be better in a fight I would assume.

Personally, I will have an alt (Most likely a privateer) I put in a lot of game hours and on mor ethan one ocassion my alt out leveled my main while waiting for others to catch up.

Besides, playing free trader may get tired at times for a true lover of PvP such as myself.

I'll play the privateer into my main characters stroy some how, such as a borther/friend/business associate etc...

Plus I think it will be good to have some alts for a little RP variety or freedom depending upon the story or needs thereof.

Bah... others are probably more entertaining. I'll just be happy to be sailing the seas and not hearing about politics or other RL heavy junk. Not that there can't be places in the Off Topic forum for those discussions but I want to be the angry rebellous Scot that I think I am - despite the coy smile in the photo. Smile
